Sustainable Supply Chains

Scaling Impact through Responsible Supply Chains

Embedding ESG in the supply chain

At ReNew, we are driven by our continuous efforts to enhance operational sustainability, and embedding ESG in our value chains is the fundamental starting point. Through the entire value chain, we have integrated ESG parameters from due diligence and onboarding to contract execution and ongoing performance monitoring through targeted assessments benchmarked against global best practices.

Alignment with Global Standards and Frameworks

Our supply chain strategy aligns with major global frameworks, including the UN SDGs, SASB, UNGC, GRI, BRSR, and Ecovadis. The voluntary mapping to BRSR standards further highlights our commitment to robust governance across its value chain.

Continuous capacity building for our stakeholders

We provide dedicated training for buyers and procurement staff on integrating ESG considerations into supplier selection and management. These sessions focus on responsible sourcing, labour practices, ethics, and environmental performance, ensuring that day-to-day procurement decisions align with our Supplier Code of Conduct and ESG objectives.

Traceability and Forced Labour Guidelines

At ReNew, we have backward integrated our solar value chain. From the inception, we have acknowledged the risks of labour rights violations, particularly in the Solar Photovoltaic (PV) value chain, we take a proactive approach to ensure ethical sourcing. We avoid procurement from high-risk regions and require our suppliers to comply with both national and international labour standards, including the core conventions of the International Labour Organisation (ILO). To drive transparency, we have implemented a Traceability and Supply Chain Due Diligence Framework.
