Greetings!

As the year closes, this is an opportune time to pause and reflect.

At ReNew, we celebrate a deeply meaningful milestone - 15 years of our incredible journey. Over the last decade and a half, we have built with purpose, navigated global energy shifts, and contributed to India’s rise as a clean-energy leader. At the heart of this is a simple, aspirational vision: to accelerate the clean-energy transition and advance global climate ambition, responsibly and at scale.

I would like to take this opportunity to extend my deepest gratitude to our stakeholders for your collaboration. ReNew’s journey has been shaped by our shared purpose.

The Global Green Shift

The last fifteen years have made one thing clear to me : the global transition is unfolding in ways that touch our lives, industries, and nations every day.

  • 12% emission cuts are expected by the year 2030, through stronger commitments and renewables deployment (UNFCCC)  - still not enough, but keeping hopes for a cleaner, safer climate alive. [from which base year?]
  • Renewables will suffice to meet 100% of global electricity demand growth from this year onwards (IRENA). Clean power is now the top priority for governments worldwide.
  • 20% of the vehicles sold globally in 2025 are run on electricity. Low-carbon progress is increasingly part of daily life.
  • 35 million people now work in the clean energy sector globally. This surpasses the employment in the fossil fuels sector for the first time.

India Shapes Tomorrow

India’s clean energy transformation is well underway, and ReNew is proud to help lead the way:

  • 51% of India’s 500 GW electricity generation capacity is now from non-fossil fuel sources, five years ahead of India’s climate target. ReNew supplies about 10% of India’s solar and wind power.
  • 10 Indian states lead globally in sub-national action, powering jobs and industries. With a 28 GW clean energy portfolio in these states, ReNew’s investment is a testament to their leadership and vision.
  • 100% of India’s solar module demand can now be met domestically. India is emerging as a globally reliable cleantech supplier. ReNew’s manufacturing portfolio consists of 6.4 GW module and 2.5 GW cells, with construction on going for a further 4 GW of cells and plans for wafer-ingots as well.
  • ReNew was carbon neutral for a fifth consecutive year, as per our Integrated Assessment Report. Two of our sites are net water positive, and S&P Global ranked ReNew India’s highest in their Corporate Sustainability Assessment.
  • ReNew’s solar module manufacturing plant in Jaipur is the first solar plant globally to be awarded the Sword of Honour by the British Safety Council.

Forward Together

Looking ahead, the global economy is on track to perform better than many expected at the start of the year. We seem to be moving forward on peace and trade deals, reducing uncertainty for 2026. Artificial Intelligence is opening doors to possibilities that could redefine how we live, move, connect, and experience life. India is set to lead the world as a cost-efficient renewables deployer, global manufacturing hub, and AI innovation pioneer. The outlook is bright and purposeful for many of us, and for the people, who are at the center of all that we do, together.

I hope you share my optimism for 2026. My 5,000 colleagues and I wish you and your family a peaceful holiday season and a bright, fulfilling New Year ahead.

Best
