Event name: Energy Security in a Shifting Global Landscape: Building Resilient Energy Markets Across Borders

Co-hosted by the Consulate General of India, New York, ReNew, and the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum, the high-level dialogue “Energy Security in a Shifting Global Landscape” was held alongside hashtag#UNGA2025 and hashtag#ClimateWeekNY. The session brought together senior leaders from government, industry, finance, and academia to address the evolving dynamics of global energy systems and chart pathways for cross-border cooperation.

Keynote was delivered by Minister Piyush Goyal; Pankaj Jain, Secretary, MoPNG—with reflections by Anurag Singh Thakur, Member of Parliament and former Union Minister. Opening remarks were delivered by binaya pradhan, Consul General of India, New York; Mukesh Aghi, President, USISPF; and Sumant Sinha, Founder, Chairman & CEO, ReNew. The session concluded with closing remarks by Vaishali Nigam Sinha, Co-Founder, ReNew, and Chairperson, Sustainability.
Discussions focused on strengthening clean energy supply chains—particularly in solar, battery technologies, and grid infrastructure—in response to rising trade barriers and export restrictions. Participants explored opportunities for regulatory and policy alignment to foster cross-border clean energy markets, emphasising the need to balance strategic competition with collaborative innovation, investment flows, and technology transfer, while safeguarding energy security and industrial competitiveness.
ReNew’s Policy Cell launched its report “Beyond 2030: India Ready to Scale” at the event, offering actionable, practitioner-driven recommendations to accelerate India’s renewable energy growth.
ReNew’s convenings continue to serve as catalytic platforms where ideas, strategy, business decisions, and policy frameworks converge—driving inclusive, resilient, and sustainable economic progress across borders.
