  • First clean energy company in the world to be named a ‘Lighthouse’ by the World Economic Forum’s Global Lighthouse Network.
2019

Ranked amongst the top global RE companies

  • Becomes the first Indian renewables company to achieve 5 GW installed capacity mark in October 2019.
  • Year ends on a high note with ReNew becoming the 11th largest RE company in the world (excluding China) and among the top ten infrastructure companies in India.
  • Fortifies its position as the first Indian renewables company to be called “Unicorn” and to have more than 5 GW of operational capacity.
2018

Becomes India’s largest RE company

  • Cracks the biggest-ever deal in Indian renewable energy sector through acquisition of Ostro Energy Private Limited’s assets, adding 858 MW to its operational capacity.
2017

Landmark enhancement in operational capacity

  • Doubles operational capacity and crosses the 2 GW (including acquired assets) milestone.

Crosses 1 GW capacity

  • ReNew becomes the first Renewable Energy IPP to cross 1GW commissioned capacity.

Commissions India’s tallest wind tower

  • Pioneers the commercial installation and commissioning of India’s tallest wind tower. Total operational capacity increases to 545.76 MW.
2014

Enters Indian solar market

  • Achieves total operational capacity of 388.65 MW. Makes solar market debut with the commissioning of its first distributed solar project.
