COP27 was an ‘implementation’ focussed COP – attended by more than 90 Heads of States/Governments and over 30,000 people including official delegates, NGOs, businesses and media

·       Significant high-level engagement for ReNew leaders at various global forums.

o   Our Chairman and CEO was invited to the Egyptian Presidency official roundtable involving a number of Heads of Governments; invited to speak at the high-level forum organised by WEF President Borge Brende where US Senator John Kerry also shared his views

o   Our Chief Sustainability Officer spoke at a very high-level panel of the Breakthrough Agenda where a number of Ministers; COP 26 and COP 27 High Level Champions etc. were present

o   Our Chief Growth Officer spoke at a high-level event organised by Sustainable Markets Initiative, McKinsey

 

·       Collectively, spoke at 18 panels, including 4 marquee ones; had more than 15 business and investor meetings, and almost 10 media interactions.

·       Hosted our first ever event at COPs, focussing on planning energy transition in developing countries. Part of the India Pavilion – we were one of the only 3 private companies selected to host a session.

·       Signed a Definitive Framework Agreement with Government of Egypt, concluding negotiations on our Green Hydrogen investment at the Egypt Pavilion in the COP venue. We were one of the 7 companies to do so.

·       Announced our commitment to plant one million trees as part of 1t.org, up from our previous commitment of 100,000 trees. 2nd company from South Asia to announce this pledge.
