Composition of the Board


Sivaprasad Manikkapurath

Sivaprasad Manikkapurath is the President - Solar Utility Scale at ReNew. Mr. Sivaprasad has been with ReNew since July, 2020 and his responsibilities include overseeing execution of ReNew’s solar and storage projects.

He has over 34 years of experience in the energy sector, including 10 years in Renewable energy. Prior to joining ReNew, Mr. Sivaprasad worked with GE and ALSTOM for 22 years where he held various leadership positions, including positions of Region Operations Director and Head of Project Business for India and South Asia Region. Before that, he worked in Steel Authority of India Limited in initial phase of career. Mr. Sivaprasad completed bachelor’s degree in electrical & Electronics from NIT Calicut, and Advance Management course from INSEAD Singapore. Mr. Sivaprasad brings deep expertise in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of large-scale renewable energy projects including solar, energy storage, and hybrid power systems.


Deepak Gupta

Deepak is an alumnus of IIT Delhi, Faculty of Management Studies-Delhi University and Delhi College of Engineering (now DTU) and brings with him extensive experience of over 20 years in the clean energy and environment sector. He has specialized in various aspects of carbon mitigation, including renewable energy, energy efficiency, waste management, air pollution control, and global climate policy. He has collaborated with the government of India and global civil society organizations, including ClimateWorks Foundation, Hewlett Foundation, Packard Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, Oak Foundation, Bloomberg Philanthropies, and others. Deepak's contributions have helped shape strategic initiatives such as "India's Wind Potential Re-assessment Committee," "Renewable Energy Roadmap 2030," "The India Innovation Lab for Green Finance (India Lab)," and "Green Power Market Development Group (GPMDG)."

Currently, he is spearheading Green Credit Business in ReNew and working on multiple projects, including taking key decisions related to the business, building and scaling a community-based and nature-based solutions (NBS) and technology-based solutions, and engaging with multiple government policy makers and project development capabilities.
